LADY MAISERY VOCAL HARMONY WORKSHOP

Lady Maisery explore vocal harmony to breathtaking effect, through their fresh interpretations of songs and ballads. The workshop will cover warming up, tune singing (diddling) Arrangement and harmony techniques and using the voice as an instrument.

Sarah is a fine singer with the vocal harmony trio Craig Morgan Robson. She writes songs in traditional style & plays English concertina. Jeff is a brilliant guitarist, sensitive traditional singer & arranger of poems by William Blake. He also plays mandolin, Appalachian dulcimer & English concertina.

An outstanding tutor, Dan plays with Rattle on the Stovepipe & The Long Hill Ramblers. The workshop is for old-time claw-hammer style. Dan will teach 2 simple tunes & add right-hand decoration techniques for the more advanced.

DAVE ARTHUR: MAGIC, SUPERSTITION & THE SUPERNATURAL IN FOLK TALE & BALLADS

Dave currently plays with Rattle on the Stovepipe. He is a fine singer, musician & storyteller, collector & researcher. He will talk, sing, play, play field recordings of traditional storytellers & singers, & encourage discussion.

Jim Murray, Tyneside singer, guitarist & songwriter, joins with Alex Szyzskowski (concertina, melodeon, mandolin) Davie Wooldrige (fiddle) Chris Dyer (fiddle, nyckelharpa) & Lis Stewart (duet concertina, fiddle & keyboards) to make lively music and plenty of laughs with a strong Geordie flavour.
