Tommy Peoples is, quite simply, a living legend, the greatest exponent of the driving Donegal style which is his hallmark. A founding member of the Bothy Band, his 1999 solo CD The Quiet Glen earned him his country's highest accolade as ‘Musician of the Year’, the first person to be so honoured by the Irish Government. His website address is http://homepage.tinet.ie/~logo/tommy.htm.
The workshop will concentrate on ornamentation & bowing. Questions will be welcome.
Tommy will teach some unusual tunes. He will either do the notation on the day or bring copies of a choice of tunes.
Ability to read music is useful but not essential.
